Uganda 2025: A Journey of Faith and Service
Dear Friends and Family,
We are overflowing with joy and gratitude as we reflect on our incredible mission trip to Uganda in 2025! Eight dedicated team members embarked on a journey that touched hearts and transformed lives, including our own. We can confidently say this was one of the most impactful teams we’ve had the privilege of serving alongside.
Our mission focused on education, compassion, and spiritual support, and we were blessed to connect with communities across the region. We visited seven schools, including the renowned Amazima School, founded by Katie Davis Majors (author of “Kisses from Katie”), and Vision for Africa. It was inspiring to witness the dedication to education and the bright futures being cultivated in these institutions.
A highlight of our trip was the opportunity to share a meal with Mama Maria, the visionary founder of Vision for Africa Ministries. Her unwavering commitment to serving the vulnerable is truly remarkable. We were deeply honored to receive a gifted book from her, a cherished memento for each team member.
We extended our outreach to three leper colonies, offering practical assistance and sharing messages of hope and love. We also visited “shut ins” and brought fellowship and prayer. Additionally, we made personal visits to eight students in their homes, providing encouragement and support.
Seven of our team members had the special privilege of meeting with their sponsored students, forging deeper connections and reinforcing the impact of their support. These moments were filled with joy and heartfelt gratitude.
Our spiritual journey reached a powerful crescendo as we attended a local church service. Despite a pouring rainstorm, we the baptism of 45 individuals, a testament to their unwavering faith and commitment. The sight of these baptisms, amidst the downpour, was a moving and unforgettable experience.
Of course, we also made time for a little adventure! Five of our team members enjoyed a breathtaking horseback safari along the Nile River, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
We are immensely grateful for the opportunity to have served in Uganda and for the support of each and every one of you. Your prayers and contributions made this mission possible. We witnessed the transformative power of faith and the resilience of the human spirit. We returned home with renewed purpose, inspired by the people of Uganda and forever changed by our experiences.
Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Uganda 2025 Mission Team
