Student Sponsorship

Uganda is home to more than 2.5 million orphaned children. The median age is 16 years with 48% of the population being under the age of 15. Education is crucial to poverty alleviation however many children are not afforded the opportunity to attend school. Education gives hope not only to the child, but to the family, the community and the nation of Uganda.

Sponsorship of a student in Uganda provides school fees, requirements, uniforms and at least one hot meal per day. Secondary and vocational students along with some primary students board at school and sponsorship covers those costs. Tujje Ministries students also have assigned mentors who work with the student, the family and the school to help the student succeed in their academic life as well as life skills.

Health Program

Community Health Partners visit 3 leper colonies monthly providing prayer, support as well as blankets and care kits containing posho (milled corn), salt, soap and mosquito nets.

Fruits and vegetables are grown on Tujje property and are distributed to the needy.

New clinic in progress!

We are in the process of building a new clinic that will serve about 600 people in 4 villages, 3 leper colonies and our students.  $75, 000 needed to complete the building.

Mosquito net program

Through The Community Health Program we distribute Mosquito Nets. Malaria is a an extremely prevalent problem in most of Africa. As of now, there is no better way to keep from getting the disease than by using a mosquito net. Sleeping under a net greatly reduces the risk factor and it saves lives. To this day many still die from exposure.

You can help save a life by making a donation as small as $10. All of our supported orphans get mosquito nets provided for them but we always need more! Please make a difference today by making a donation to purchase a mosquito net and save a life in Uganda.

Hope in Action

Spring of 2020 was difficult for all of us. In Uganda the impact was worse. All businesses were closed, the Airport was closed as were the borders. Food and supplies were not getting in for a while. At the close of 2020 the restrictions have eased but for a developing country the damage is huge. We continued paying our team (14 work with us there.) By paying them we helped the local economy.

We also ramped up our food relief program. The community workers distribute 2,500 kilos (5,500 lbs) of Maize flour, soap and other staples. Once a month they visit the Leper colonies and the poorest of the poor in Magamaga. This support is much needed and we will continue as long as we have the funds to do it. We have to raise $750 per month to keep the program going. Please consider making a donation to the food relief program.
